C3 Presents and 501 Studios are proud to be bringing The US Air Guitar Championships to Austin on Saturday May 21! On this very special evening, we are looking to find the best local Air Guitarists to represent Austin in the National Championships. One winner from this competition, and one from each of the 20 other cities where USAG is holding Regional Competitions, will be flown to Chicago on July 23 to compete in the Air Guitar National Finals for the crown of US Air Guitar Champion. The Winner of the National Finals will become The 2011 US Champion, and will win a trip to the Air Guitar World Championships in Finland this August, where he or she will represent the stars and stripes against national champions from 20 other countries all around the world! Everyone in Texas is encouraged to either sign up and compete, or buy a ticket to come see for yourself what kind of Air Guitar talent TX has to offer (sign up to compete at www.USAirGuitar.com, and purchase tickets at the top of this page to witness this event). Each US Regional will consists of two rounds. In Round 1, each competitor performs to a song of their own choosing. Competitors with highest scores from Round 1 advance to Round 2, where they must then perform to a surprise compulsory song.
